TOTAL GAS & POWER UK

The activities of the Gas & Power Division span transportation, storage, trading and marketing – mainly of gas and electricity related products. In addition, they are at the forefront in renewable energies, notably wind turbines and photovoltaics.

TOTAL Gas and Power Trading is the entity responsible for Gas, Power and Emissions Credits, LNG and LPG trading in Europe and the US for the TOTAL Group.

The company utilises all market products, dealing in Swaps and Physical, forwards, futures, options, storage and swing products. The company has an Oil and refined products trading capability and trades currencies frequently as part of various hedging strategies. The main purpose of the company is to generate value/revenue by exploiting market opportunities that may arise within the markets in which it operates whilst servicing the physical and pricing needs of its internal customers.

It predominantly runs out of its London Canary Wharf premises and has offices in Houston and Geneva.

The UK’s retail arm operates under the brand, 'Total Gas and Power' – see www.totalgp.com – employing around 250 staff, mainly based in the Redhill office, but there are satellite offices in Leeds and Canary Wharf (London). A supplier of gas and power (electricity) to UK business customers including : Industrial and Commercial (I&C) consumers; groups and very large business consumers; and, small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
