LOR Contributes to Greener Fuel

                                                         

In November 2011 LOR began producing its first bio-ethanol blended fuel as part of a £10.2 million investment to provide bio-ethanol injection facilities at the refinery. The bio-ethanol is blended with premium unleaded petrol to meet the Government’s renewable transport fuel obligations. Refineries are required to ensure that 5% of all road vehicle fuel is supplied from sustainable renewable sources. LOR has gone further, making its blending facilities able to produce a 10% blend in the future.
