Decommissioning and Remediation

Following the reorganisation of its downstream marketing activities, Total UK undertook decommissioning and remediation work at a number of retail sites not included in the sale of assets. Total UK also continued remediation work at the disused industrial site at Rye Harbour, Sussex and at the former fuel storage terminals in Langley, Berkshire and Leeds. Also, a review of Total UK’s unique operating agreement with the Environment Agency was undertaken. All the company’s non-refining operational sites are to be brought into the agreement.
