TOTAL E&P UK’s St Fergus Gas Terminal lies on a site of 220 acres, close to the village of St Fergus on the north-east coast of Scotland, about 60km (40 miles) north of Aberdeen.
It is here that gas, from offshore fields in the North Sea, comes to shore to be processed to specification before being transported to the nearby Transco facilities. It is then distributed to its many domestic and industrial users via the National Grid in the UK.
At St Fergus there are three other terminal facilities, operated by ExxonMobil, Shell and Transco. Each terminal receives and processes gas before it is distributed to the end customer.
The terminal receives gas via the Frigg UK pipeline and the Miller Transportation System.
