Northern North Sea

Alwyn North, Dunbar, Ellon, Forvie, Grant, Nuggets, and Otter are the fields that form our strong portfolio in the Alwyn Area of the Northern North Sea. A further discovery in the Jura field was made at the end of 2006 and we aim to start producing hydrocarbons from Jura in 2008.

160km east of the Shetland Islands and 440km north-east of Aberdeen, we’re producing approximately 150,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the Alwyn Area and our operations show our commitment to extend North Sea oil and gas production.

Innovations in technology have now made it viable for us to develop small, previously uneconomical accumulations in established fields using equipment and infrastructures already in place.
