Exploration & Production

Total E&P UK Limited is one of the largest exploration and production subsidiaries of the Total Group. We are the fourth-largest operator in the UK sector of the North Sea in terms of production and reserves. We operate and own significant interests in the Alwyn North, Dunbar, Ellon, Grant, Nuggets and Otter fields in the Northern North Sea Area and also the Elgin and Franklin fields in the Central Graben Area.

We are operators of the St Fergus Gas Terminal on the north east coast of Scotland. This receives and processes an average of 21 per cent of the UK's daily gas requirements from some 20 North Sea gas fields.

We also hold a number of non-operated interests in the central and northern North Sea including Bruce, ETAP, Alba, Armada and Nelson fields and the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal in Shetland.

Recent discoveries that have been brought onstream include Forvie North (first oil in January 2006) and Glenelg (first oil in March 2006). Development studies are also on-going for the West Franklin Field in the Central Graben area.
