NON-OPERATED
|

Total E&P UK Limited holds a number of non-operated
interests located in the Central and Northern areas
of the North Sea. These include Alba, Armada, Bruce, Caledonia, CATS, Everest, ETAP, Keith, Markham, Mungo/Monan, Nelson and Seymour.

Alba
The Alba field is located 210km north east of Aberdeen
in Block 16/26 (Licence No P.213) in the UK Sector
of the Northern North Sea. It consists of one fixed
steel platform and floating storage unit. It was discovered
in 1984 and production started in January 1994. It
is operated by ChevronTexaco Ltd. Fina Petroleum Development
Ltd holds a 12.65% stake in Alba.
Armada
The Armada Area fields are located
250km north east of Aberdeen in the UK Sector of the
Northern North Sea. They extend over five blocks (22/5b,
22/5a, 16/29a, 22/4a, 16/29c) (Licence Nos P.356, P.066,
P.110, P.355 and P.591). The Armada complex comprises
of three gas/condensate accumulations – Fleming,
Drake and Hawkins. Hawkins was discovered in 1980 and
production started in 2001. Drake and Fleming were discovered
in 1982 and production started in October 1997. Condensate is
transported via the Everest-Lomond System and the Forties
pipeline System (FPS) to shore. Gas is transported by
the Central Area Transmission System (CATS) to Teesside.
Armada is operated by BG International Ltd. Fina Exploration
Ltd holds a 12.53% stake in Armada.
Bruce
The Bruce field is located 340km
north east of Aberdeen in Blocks 9/8a, 9/9a, 9/9b (Licence
Nos P.209, P.090, P.276) in the UK Sector of the Northern
North Sea. It is a large gas/condensate field
which extends over the three licence blocks operated
by BHP Billiton, BP and Total E&P UK Limited respectively.
It consists of three platforms (a process/utilities/quarters
platform, a drilling platform and a compressor platform)
each supported by a four-legged steel jacket and
joined by two bridges. Oil and condensate are
transported from Bruce via the Forties pipeline System
(FPS) to Kinneil for processing. Gas and NGLs are
sent via the Frigg pipeline to St Fergus. Bruce was discovered
in 1974 and production started in 1993. Elf Exploration
UK PLC/Total E&P UK Limited hold a 43.25% share in Bruce.
Caledonia
The Caledonia field is located
6km north of the Britannia field and 220km north east
of Aberdeen in Block 16/16 (Licence No P.209) in the
UK Sector of the Northern North Sea. It consists of a
subsea tie-back to the Britannia platform where the fluids
are processed and re-delivered at the Forties Unity platform
into the Forties pipeline System (FPS). It was discovered
in 1977 and production started in February 2003. Caledonia
is operated by ChevronTexaco Ltd. Fina Petroleum Development
Ltd holds a 12.65% share in Caledonia.
CATS
The CATS (Central Area Transmission
System) consists of the CNS (Central North Sea) pipeline
and the terminal and processing plant at Teesside. It
is a riser platform
which is bridge linked to the North Everest platform.
From the riser platform,
a 36" diameter pipeline runs
408km to Teesside. A further 7km onshore pipeline links
the CATS and Entron terminals at Teesside with the BG
National Transmission System (NTS) at Cowpen Bewley.
CATS is operated by BP and started product transmission
in 1993. Fina Exploration Ltd holds a 0.57% share in
CATS.
Everest
The Everest gas/condensate field
is located 240km north north east of Aberdeen in Blocks
22/9, 22/10a and 22/14a (Licence Nos P.101, P.066 and
P.110) in the UK Sector of the Northern North Sea. It
is a fixed steel platform with a bridge link to the Central
Area Transmission System (CATS) riser platform.
Gas is transported by CATS to Teesside. Liquids are transported
via the Forties pipeline System (FPS) to Cruden Bay and
onwards to Kinneil for processing. Everest which is operated
by BP was discovered in 1982 and started production in
May 1993. Fina Exploration Ltd holds a 0.87% share in
Everest.
ETAP
The ETAP (Eastern Trough Area
Project) is located 230km east of Aberdeen in Blocks
22/24 and 23/24 in the UK Sector of the Central North
Sea. It comprises the integrated development of seven
different fields each of which on their own would not
have been economically viable. Four fields (Marnock,
Mungo, Monan and Machar) are operated by BP; the remaining
three fields (Heron, Egret and Skua) are operated by
Shell. Two fixed steel platforms are located over the
Marnock field. Gas is transported via a 14km, 16" pipeline to
the Central Transmission System (CATS). Oil is transported
via an 81km, 24" pipeline to
the Forties pipeline System (FPS). BP assumes overall
responsibility for operating the joint ETAP project.
Total E&P UK Limited holds a 3.36% share in ETAP.
Keith
The Keith field is located 7km
approx south west of the Bruce field, 330km north east
of Aberdeen in Block 9/8a (Licence P.209) in the UK Sector
of the Northern North Sea. The Keith well is a subsea
tie-back to the Bruce platform. It was discovered in
1983 and started production in November 2000. Keith is
operated by BHP Billiton. Total E&P UK Limited holds
a 1.67% share in Keith.
Markham
The Markham field is located
in Blocks 49/5a and 49/10b of the UK sector of the Southern
North Sea. It also extends over the UI/Netherlands median
line into block J35/J6 of the Dutch Sector. Markham consists
of two pipeline-linked
fixed steel platforms. Gas is exported by pipeline to
Den Helder in the Netherlands via the Netherlands K-13
platform and WGT system. Markham was discovered in 1984
and started production in November 1992. ENI-Lasmo operate
the fields as a unit. The three underlying blocks are
operated by ENI-Lasmo UK, Total E&P UK Limited and ENI-Lasmo
Nederland. Total E&P UK Limited has a 7.35% share in
Markham (TOTAL Oil & Gas Nederland BV 6.14% and Elf
Petroland BV 8.6%).
Mungo/Monan
The Mungo and Monan fields are
situated 250km east of Aberdeen (Licence No P.059) in
the UK Sector of the Central North Sea. Mungo is a medium-sized
oil with associated gas field which straddles the boundary
of Block 22/20 and 23/16a. Monan is a small oil field
with gas cap which is located in Block 22/20. Mungo has
a normally unmanned installation on it which is connected
to the ETAP (Eastern Trough Area Project) central processing
facility. Monan consists of two horizontal subsea production wells tied
back to the ETAP central processing facility. They were
discovered in 1989 and 1990 respectively and came into
production in July and September 1998. Mungo and Monan
are operated by BP. Total E&P UK Limited holds a 12.65%
share in them.
Nelson
The Nelson field is located
202km north east of Aberdeen in Blocks 22/11, 22/6a,
22/7 and 22/12a (Licence Nos P.069, P.255, P.087 and
P.077) in the UK Sector of the Northern North Sea. It
consists of a four-legged steel jacket supporting topsides production
equipment. Oil and NGLs are
piped to Kinneil via the Forties pipeline System (FTS).
Gas is exported to St Fergus via the Fulmar gas pipeline.
Nelson was discovered in 1987 and started production
in 1994. It is operated by Shell UK Ltd Exploration and
Production. Elf Exploration UK PLC holds an 11.53% share
in Nelson.
Seymour
The South West Seymour field
is located 250km north east of Aberdeen in Block 22/5b
in the UK Sector of the Northern North Sea. It is a single
development well drilled from and tied-back to the Armada
platform. It was discovered in 2002 and started production
in 2003. South West Seymour is operated by BG International.
Fina Petroleum Development Ltd/Fina Exploration Ltd hold
a 25% share in South West Seymour and its neighbour North
West Seymour (currently an unproven reservoir presence).
Sullom
Voe Oil Terminal
Sullom Voe Oil Terminal is sited
in the north east of Shetland and is one of the largest
oil and liquefied
gas terminals in Europe. The Terminal is owned by
the owners of the Ninian and Brent pipeline Systems.
Total E&P UK Limited is an owner of the Ninian pipeline
System (22.561964%). The Terminal came onstream in November
1978 and is operated by BP.
