Northern North Sea

The Alwyn Area lies in the UK sector of the Northern North Sea, 160km east of the Shetland Islands and 440km north-east of Aberdeen. The area produces approximately 180,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from the following fields:
• Alwyn North
• Nuggets
• Dunbar/Ellon/Grant

The strength of our portfolio of assets in this area has recently been further increased by the discovery of the Forvie North and South West Seymour fields. Total E&P UK Limited also operates the Otter field in the Northern North Sea which produces around 30,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) (100%).
Our operations show our commitment to extend North Sea oil and gas production into the 21st century. Innovations in technology have now made it viable to develop small, previously uneconomical accumulations in established fields using equipment and infrastructures already in place.
