Forvie

	Total E&P UK Limited has a significant new discovery in the UK North Sea. The gas and condensate find is in the Forvie area, Block 3/15, 440 km north-east of Aberdeen. It lies 16km from the Dunbar platform and 33km from the Alwyn North platforms.

The discovery was made at a depth of 3,560m in a water depth of 120m. On each of two tests, the well flow rate was 1 million cubic metres of gas per day and 1,400 barrels of condensate per day.

Work is currently underway to bring Forvie North onstream using a subsea wellhead.

Forvie forms part of the greater Alwyn Area, which comprises Alwyn North, Dunbar, Ellon, Grant and Nuggets Fields. These fields produce a combined total of 180,000 barrels of oil a day.

This success at Forvie has strengthened TOTAL E&P UK's activities in the UK North Sea and confirms our strategy to apply selective criteria to exploration prospects in the mature UKCS.
