SPONSORSHIP AND DONATIONS POLICY

TOTAL E&P UK's policy on charitable contributions are as follows:

• We support registered charities in the communities where we operate – this is principally in the Aberdeen and the North-East of Scotland areas.

• In these areas, we give financial assistance to environmental concerns, education, welfare groups and the arts.

• We do not support religious or political groups, nor do we contribute to sports organisations.

• We encourage our staff to take part in fund-raising initiatives for charity and where possible, we financially support them in their efforts.

• We facilitate the Give-As-You-Earn Scheme, which allows our staff to give a donation to charity directly from their pay before tax is deducted.

We recognise that a large number of charitable organisations rely heavily upon donations from the business sector and appreciate the increasing difficulties which many organisations face in raising much needed funds. It is regrettable that due to the enormous number of requests received for financial support, the Company cannot lend assistance in all instances. All charitable donations given by us are entirely at the Company's discretion.
